Roles & Responsibilities
Authors
Authors play a central role in maintaining the integrity, quality, and impact of research published in Novapex journals. They are responsible for:
- Originality and Accuracy β Authors must submit original work that has not been published elsewhere and ensure that data, analyses, and conclusions are accurate, complete, and verifiable.
- Proper Citation and Acknowledgment β All sources of information, ideas, or previously published work must be cited appropriately to avoid plagiarism and uphold scholarly standards.
- Ethical Compliance β Research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data must comply with ethical guidelines, and authors must include statements confirming informed consent and institutional ethical approvals.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest β Any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the research must be disclosed in the manuscript.
- Responsiveness and Engagement β Authors are expected to respond promptly to editorial queries and reviewer comments, and participate in revisions in good faith to improve the manuscript.
By submitting work to Novapex journals, authors agree to abide by the journalβs open access, peer review, and publication ethics policies, including handling of misconduct, plagiarism, or data concerns.
Editors
Editors at Novapex journals are responsible for guiding the journalβs academic integrity and ensuring fair, high-quality publication. Their responsibilities include:
- Editorial Decision-Making β Editors make impartial publication decisions based solely on scholarly merit, significance, and relevance to the journalβs scope.
- Managing Peer Review β Editors oversee the double-blind peer review process, ensuring that reviewers are qualified, unbiased, and timely in their evaluations.
- Confidentiality β Editors maintain the confidentiality of submissions, reviewer identities, and sensitive information throughout the editorial process.
- Conflict of Interest Management β Editors must disclose any potential conflicts and recuse themselves from decisions where personal, financial, or professional relationships could influence outcomes.
- Ethical Oversight β Editors ensure that submitted manuscripts comply with ethical standards, including plagiarism checks, human/animal research approvals, and informed consent where required.
- Communication and Guidance β Editors provide constructive feedback to authors and serve as a resource for clarifying journal policies and expectations.
Reviewers
Reviewers are critical in maintaining the rigor, credibility, and scientific quality of the journals. Their responsibilities include:
- Objective Evaluation β Reviewers assess manuscripts impartially, focusing on originality, methodology, validity of results, relevance, and contribution to the field.
- Constructive Feedback β Reviewers provide clear, detailed, and actionable comments to help authors improve their work while maintaining a professional and respectful tone.
- Confidentiality β Reviewers must treat all manuscripts, data, and correspondence as confidential and not use or share content for personal gain.
- Timely Response β Reviewers are expected to submit reviews within the timeframe requested by the editorial team, notifying editors promptly if unable to meet deadlines.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest β Any personal, financial, or professional conflicts that could bias the review must be declared to the editor before undertaking the review.
- Ethical Integrity β Reviewers must not plagiarize, reuse, or misappropriate any content from manuscripts they evaluate, and must notify editors of suspected misconduct or ethical concerns.
