Policies
Open Access Policy
All journals published by Novapex Publishers are fully open access and adhere to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0) License. This ensures that all articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide immediately upon publication, promoting the broadest possible dissemination of knowledge. Authors retain copyright for their work while granting the journal a license to publish, distribute, and display the content.
Open access publication also supports compliance with research funders’ mandates, enabling authors to meet institutional and grant requirements while maximizing visibility, readership, and impact. Articles are archived using LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to guarantee long-term accessibility.
Peer Review Policy
Novapex journals employ a double-blind peer-review system, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent experts with relevant experience to guarantee rigor, fairness, and academic quality.
The review process focuses on:
- Originality and novelty of research
- Methodological rigor
- Relevance and contribution to the field
- Ethical standards and compliance
Editors manage peer review impartially, resolve conflicts of interest, and make final publication decisions based on reviewers’ recommendations. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, timely, and unbiased feedback.
Publication Ethics and Integrity
Novapex Publishers adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines to uphold the highest standards of publication integrity. All authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to act ethically and transparently. Key ethical principles include:
- Authorship criteria: Only those who have made a significant contribution to the research should be listed as authors.
- Conflict of interest disclosure: Any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the research must be declared.
- Data integrity: Authors must ensure accuracy and honesty in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Plagiarism and Misconduct
Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, self-plagiarism, falsification, and fabrication of data are strictly prohibited. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to review.
If misconduct is detected after publication, Novapex journals follow COPE guidelines to issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, ensuring transparency and maintaining trust in scholarly publishing.
Informed Consent & Human/Animal Research
For studies involving human participants, authors must obtain written informed consent and adhere to the Declaration of Helsinki or equivalent local guidelines. For research involving animals, ethical approval must be obtained from a recognized institutional review board or ethics committee.
Authors are required to include statements confirming that ethical approvals were secured and consent obtained where applicable. The journal reserves the right to request documentation during the review process.
Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Novapex journals maintain a clear separation between editorial content and advertising to ensure unbiased publication. Sponsored content, advertisements, or funding acknowledgments are clearly labeled and do not influence editorial decisions.
All advertisements are subject to review and approval by the journal’s editorial team to ensure they are appropriate, professional, and do not conflict with the journal’s academic mission.
Compliance and Enforcement
By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to adhere to all journal policies. Editors and reviewers are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the review and publication process. Any breaches of policy, including plagiarism, unethical research conduct, or conflicts of interest, will be addressed promptly and transparently according to COPE guidelines.
